Pastor Chrysanne Timm – Advent’s Transitional Pastor

On August 1st, Pastor Christine Ann (Chrysanne) Timm became Advent’s Transitional Pastor.  She will serve in that capacity for up to two years.  She was appointed to this position by North/West Lower Michigan Synod Bishop Satterlee, upon approval of Advent’s Congregation Council.  Her greatest joy is helping people and congregations discover the fullness of life that God wills for them through preaching, teaching, leadership development and pastoral care.

Chrysanne comes to Advent and Lake Ann from Sylvania, Ohio, where she and her family lived for 21 years.  She served as associate and later lead pastor of Olivet Evangelical Lutheran Church of Sylvania, Ohio. Prior to that she served as associate pastor at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Toledo, and pastor of Christ Lutheran Church, Toledo.  She has served as Secretary of the Northwestern Ohio Synod of the ELCA (1987-1993) and in various other capacities at the synod and ELCA churchwide level.
